Spring break and summer vacation for Denver area schools is just around the corner. It is never too early to think about how you are going to telecommute while your kids are out of school. Here are some suggestions that will let your children have some fun while giving you time to work.

Renaissance Adventures located in Boulder offers both School Days Off and Summer Vacation Quest. This is a unique program for kids who love fantasy. Summer Quest are held in Lyons, Gunbarrel, Longmont, and Boulder.

Academy of Rock at the Globalsound Studio in Broomfield offers summer camps. Here your kids can learn to play their favorite cover songs and are given the opportunity to compose and play an original song. They will go into a recording studio, have a concert for family and friends, and take home a CD recording of their songs.

KidstheaterWest offers a creative summer camp. Located on South Logan Street, your child can be part of a theatrical production. Students age four to eighteen are accepted.

If you telecommute near the Lowry neighborhood, you may want to check out Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum's summer camp. Offering half-day or full-day programs, your kids can have fun learning about space and flight.

For the child interested in martial arts, Colorado Budokan offers a summer camp that will teach your child Karate. No prior experience is needed. They are located at South Monaco Parkway and Hampton Avenue.

Another alternative is to check out local recreation centers. The cities of Englewood, Aurora, Littleton, Wheat Ridge and Golden all have summer camp programs.
