On Monday police announced that Terrence Jones, 16, Kenneth Bedford (aka "Lil Kenny"), 17, and Orlando Hamilton, 15, have all been charged as adults in last month's brutal attack of a 16-year-old special needs student at West Memphis High School.

WMC-TV reported:

Investigators say the three suspects were skipping class in the bathroom. When the victim walked in, the suspects tried to rob him, made fun of him, and started beating him. The victim ended up with two broken ribs.

The victim told police one of the suspects raped him in the bathroom. He said he told the principal and was sent back to class and was told it would be handled the next day. The victim's aunt called police when she learned of the incident from her nephew.

All three suspects have been charged with rape and first degree battery, and are currently free on bond.

The victim is now reportedly being home-schooled.
