Teenager’s mother arrested for hiring lap-dancing strippers as birthday gift

Judy Viger, 33, hired strippers for her son’s sixteenth birthday party, which was held at the Glen Falls Spare Time Bowling Center in South Glen Falls, N.Y., WYRK reported on Feb. 20.

Viger accused of organizing, managing and paying for two female adult entertainers to perform personal and intimate lap dances for five teenage boys under the age of 17. The birthday party took place on Nov. 3, 2012. Viger was arrested and charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child. There were children as young as 13-years-old in attendance at the birthday party at the bowling alley. Judy Viger’s attorney, Joseph Brennan, said that he was told that the charges were not yet filed in court.

The incident took place inside a private room in the bowling alley, with paper covering the glass door. The strippers were photographed wearing bras and panties and performing dances for children as young as 15. Police began investigating the incident when photos from the birthday party were posted on social media websites.

Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy said that investigation was prompted by parents and children who attended the party and were “outraged” by what they witnessed. Police interviewed several witnesses including the strippers, bowling alley employees and people who attended the party.
