When the summer comes to an end, the heroes in a half shell will be closing the season. Coming this August is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: the newest live action film based on the popular comic book characters. While the film hits the scene in less then two months, fans of the Turtles have been mixed on many things about this latest installment; like the Turtle's design and Michael Bay's involvement with the film. If these things were enough to get fans talking, then then latest updates is bound to stir up debate. Thanks to TMNT fan site, we now have our first full look at the Turtle's arch nemesis: The Shredder (played by William Fichtner).
The new image for the film features the Shredder facing the Turtles' master Splinter. Just by looking at the images, fans can tell that is not the classic Shredder. The new look of the villain can be seen in two perspective. On one hand, the design could be seen as a refreshing take on the character's armor. On the other hand, it could also argue that Shredder's new look takes too much away from the original concept and has too much going in the armor itself. Both accusations would not be wrong. However, the only way to determine the full presentation of the Shredder is by watching the villain in action.
Directed by Johnathan Liebesman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles stars Johnny Knoxville, Alan Ritchson, Noel Fisher, Jeremy Howard, Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Will Arnett, Whoopi Goldberg and Tony Shalhoub.
