A 16-year-old blonde girl from Essex county in England loves to fake tan and get manicures happens to be smarter than Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, and Professor Stephen Hawking. Mensa IQ tests revealed on Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, that Lauren Marbe stunned her teachers by scoring 161 on an IQ test that she was advised to take, just for fun.
Lauren is the daughter of a cab driver and has aspirations of being a performer in the West End. She wants to take after her Essex celebrity idol Denise Van Outen.
This turn of events showing her brilliant brain test score may actually make things in life change a bit for her though. Hawking, Gates, and Einstein were all recorded as having an IQ of 160, but Lauren happens to outsmart them by one point.
Lauren is already predicted to get almost perfect scores in school, but she was able to have "blown away" the Essex stereotype of being blonde and ditzy.
“I was one of the last people to get my result and everybody before me had got around the 130 mark so that was the kind of result I was expecting.
“My teachers knew I was quite clever because of my grades but they had always thought I was blonde and a bit ditzy.
“Now they keep saying ‘I didn’t realise you were that clever’.”
She says that she is just a normal teenager that loves doing normal things, but happens to just be incredibly smart. She attends Roding Valley High School in Loughton, Essex, and took the IQ test earlier in February with other high achievers from the school.
Lauren is happy with this turn of events, but now is torn between pursuing her dream of becoming a professional singer and dancer or going after more academic achievements.
