Teena Marie tweets eerie message before mysterious death in L.A.

Singer Teena Marie died at her home in Pasadena, California late Christmas night. She was 54.

Marie, whom Rick James proudly claimed as his protegee, was reportedly found deceased in her bed by family when they arrived at her home Sunday morning December 26th. The cause of Marie's death is still unknown.

Teena Marie wrote several messages to her 25,000+ Twitter followers on Christmas Day. One of her final messages, released some time Christmas night, read:

Sarah Vaughan was an iconic jazz singer whose popularity spanned the 1950s, 60s and 70s. The actual lyric from Vaughan's song reads: "May you live forever and may I never die!"
