Teen sues parents: Parents force girl to have abortion over teen pregnancy

A Texas teen sues parents has become a trending topic this morning, the NY Daily News reported this Wednesday, Feb. 13, after a teen girl decided to sue her mother and father to keep them from making her have a forced abortion.

The 16-year-old pregnant teen is nine weeks along, reports a Houston court lawsuit, and refuses to have an abortion, despite her parents trying to “force” her to abort the unborn child. She now plans to sue them over the decision.

The teen girl is alleging that her parents physically assaulted her in an attempt to have the baby aborted, say her lawyers from the Texas Center for Defense of Life. She was also forced to quit school and start working two part-time jobs by her parents after not wanting to have the abortion, added the lawyers.

Only hours after the “teen sues parents” term began to trend on several search engines, a piece of the official lawsuit was revealed on the teen girl's account of her mother:

“[The mother] invited the paternal grandparents to a bar for more discussion, where she suggesting she might slip in an abortion pill [using] deception.”
