A 19-year-old video store clerk was in stable condition Thursday, two days after he was shot during a struggle with an armed robber in Clarkston.
Officers have not released the name of the victim and are still looking for the gunman, Clarkston police Chief Ms. Christine Hudson said.
The teen and his aunt were in the store when the suspect forced his way into T & T Video at 3552 Market St., just as employees were leaving around 11:35 p.m., police said.
The gunman demanded cash and proceeded to take an unknown amount of money from the cash register, Chief Hudson said.
“The perpetrator and the store clerk got into a struggle,” Chief Hudson said. “The store clerk was shot and the perpetrator left the store.”
The teen was shot in the arm, and the bullet traveled into his abdomen. The teen’s aunt called 911 and the 19-year-old was transported to the hospital in critical condition, Chief Hudson said.
