A teen posed as a doctor in Australia and managed to get away with the deceit four months before he was arrested for identity theft, Christian Post reports Feb. 4.
The 17-year-old boy -- who is unidentified because he's a minor -- was busted when he attempted to treat a 12-year-old girl after a scooter accident. He was arrested for administering a prescription drug, aggravated assault, and identity theft.
For a while authorities suspected the teen of posing as a medic, but he never actually interacted with the patients. He made rounds at Royal Adelaide Hospital and Flinders Medical Center in Australia as well as working the streets offering first aid to the public.
Memos were circulated to both hospitals that should the teen make physical contact with any of the patients, it would "constitute criminal assault."
The teen was said to be extremely confident and well versed in medical terminology. He interacted on a professional level with other hospital employees.
A photo of the teen who was arrested for posing as a doctor can be seen here. His face is blurred out, however.
