Teen Mom” star Leah Calvert learned this season that her daughter had been fighting muscular dystrophy and she was eager to get her in a wheelchair. In fact, she quickly listed her home to get one that was wheelchair-friendly, even before Ali was really in need of wheelchair. According to a new Radar Online report published on Feb. 26, “Teen Mom” star Leah Calvert is now revealing that she is shocked that her daughter is running.

“Ali is running! She’s going so much better than expected,” Leah has revealed to “Life & Style” magazine recently. “We don’t now what the future holds, but this is proof that we should never give up hope.”

Leah had been planning on getting her daughter a wheelchair because she was devastated by the diagnosis she got from the doctors. Her former husband revealed that he didn’t want to get her a wheelchair because he didn’t want to give up on her. It did seem that Leah was so devastated that she jumped to the worst conclusion. So she was shocked when Ali was running. “She has so much determination. We’re in awe of how she handles adversity.”

But it sounds like she is still ready in case Ali one day needs a wheelchair. “Ali’s disability has really brought us closer,” she has revealed about her family. “We’re going to conquer this together.”
