“Teen Mom” star Kailyn Lowry just turned 21 this past week, which for many means that it is time to hit the bar legally and get drunk. Over the past couple of months, Kailyn hasn’t been a big fan of Jo’s girlfriend Vee because of her drinking and their socializing when it is Jo’s weekend to have his son. So, fans are wondering if Kailyn went out drinking on her birthday, hence being a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to her former boyfriend’s new woman and her decisions to consume alcohol. According to a new Wetpaint Entertainment report released on March 16, “Teen Mom” star Kailyn Lowry only had a little Jack Daniel’s Sampler on her birthday. She didn’t even indulge in some delicious cocktails.
“Sober living,” Kailyn shared while posting a picture on her Instagram. Her friends may have given her a hard time about staying sober on her birthday, even though she is now legal, but she just laughed it off. It sounds like Kailyn has some bigger plans for herself than dive right into the party life. Of course, she is the primary caretaker of little Isaac, but Kailyn also had alcoholic parents. One has to wonder if she is staying away from the alcohol for her own sake, so she can be a better example for Isaac than her parents were to her.
“Put yourself in my shoes for one second," Kailyn wrote in a blog last year. "Imagine yourself growing up with a 'parent' struggling with addiction, boyfriend hopping and can’t hold a steady job. Since I was 8 years old I was the parent. I’ve forgiven my mom for not being there, but I’ve also become stronger." It sounds like Kailyn knows exactly what she needs to do, and drinking isn’t one of them.
