“Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood hasn’t exactly been having the best time lately.
The 20-year-old reality star has been making headlines since her not-so-friendly breakup with her ex-fiancé, Gary Shirley, 22, who is the father to their 2-year-old daughter, Leah.
There have been several fights, which were public and seen on the MTV reality series, which ultimately led to her arrest in late December for charges of domestic violence. Reports are even stating that the two could be getting back together.
Now Portwood’s brother, Shawn, talked to Us Magazine saying that the rumors about his sister and Shirley are not true.
Shawn Portwood said:
"[Websites are claiming] Gary and Amber are talking every single day. That's not the case at all!"
Portwood came back into the news after reality star Kim Kardashian publically slammed the series for glamorizing teen pregnancy. Us Magazine of course got Shawn on the phone to ask about his sister’s feelings towards what Kardashian said about the reality series.
"[Amber] started getting really upset and crying, saying the whole world hates her. She was just so hurt."
So how did Shawn cheer up his sister? He took to popular social networking website, Facebook, where he created the fan page, “Help Amber Portwood.”
"I wanted her to know that people do care about her. People joined the group and it was very positive. They said that they would keep her in their prayers."
