Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer is making news this week because some of her friends fear that she was addicted to prescription pain medication. On July 30, Radar Online reported that Messer made a comment to her husband, Jeremy Calvert, about medication that she was taking. This happened while MTV cameras were rolling, so viewers heard Messer say that the pills made her feel "messed up."
After the episode aired, "friends" of Messer went to the media and said that they feared that Leah may have been hiding an addition for a long time.
"We think Leah could be taking powerful painkillers including Lortab and Percocet. They are very easy to get on the streets in her hometown."
Leah Messer -- a mother of three -- has been having a very hard time with life and the stresses that have come along with being a young mother, going through a divorce, and having a child with disabilities (her daughter, Aliannah Simms, has muscular dystrophy). It's not easy. But many would say that Leah has handled things really well.
While friends say that Leah has help from family and that she has people in her life that love and support her, some believe that Leah's life isn't as wonderful as she makes it seem on social media and on television. There have been rumors of marital troubles between Leah and Jeremy as well, perhaps stemming from Leah's ongoing drug problem (if that is even true).
Teen Mom 2 has been somewhat of a blessing for Leah as she has been able to provide for her family and has received support from people who know what she's going through (especially in regard to Aliannah). However, being a reality television star also comes with a price: Rumors and gossip will always haunt these TV celebs... and if the rumors about Leah aren't true, the lies are quite hurtful -- as is knowing that someone put out a story about you that wasn't true.
