On Wednesday, Radar Online dropped a “Teen Mom 2” bombshell. One of the girls from the show is expecting a second child. Courtland Rogers announced that his wife, Jenelle Evans, is expecting a child and the two could not be happier.
Both Jenelle and Courtland have children from previous relationships, but neither have custody of their children. Courtland’s ex-girlfriend has their daughter Jaja, while Jenelle’s mom has custody of Jace. Although Jenelle has previously stated that she would not get pregnant again until she had Jace back (since it would not be fair to him), it seems that things happened a little sooner than expected.
Courtland told the magazine:
“She told me, ‘I’m looking forward to a second chance. She thinks if she can prove that she’s a good mother, she can get Jace back.”
The question remains, though, can Jenelle Evans be a good mother? There has been so much going on in her life recently that many will question her ability. Not only was she allegedly checked into an institution involuntarily, but she was reportedly addicted to heroin. However, the “Teen Mom 2” star maintains that she is clean and that being pregnant is her reason why.
There were rumors that she wanted to get pregnant so that she could get more money from MTV (something that has not been verified, but is simply rumor.) This, along with allegations that the network filmed her drug usage is making the show seem less credible. No longer does it aim to educate girls about being a teen mom, but rather focus on unnecessary drama. However, that is what makes reality television so popular… right?
