Fans have been concerned ever since news hit the Internet that Jenelle Evans of "Teen Mom 2" was hospitalized. According to a report published by E! Online on Jan. 23, the reality star has pressed assault charges on Courtland Rogers.
This new information makes the rumors that her new husband beat her up to be true. Dustin R.T. Sullivan, her attorney, told E! News,
"She has taken charges out on Courtland Rogers, her husband. The charges are assault on a female with an unborn child. She made the charges today."
There is a discrepancy to how many charges Courtland Rogers faces. E! Online reported it was four counts of assault on a female with an unborn child, while US magazine says it is five counts. Either way, they are misdemeanors, although the law should make them felonies. He could face up to 150 days in jail per charge.
The most recent assault was on Jan. 21 and her attorney stated that Jenelle Evans was abused over a period of time.
The attorney for the "Teen Mom 2" star confirmed that she is still pregnant, but did not have any details about a possible miscarriage. The reality star had tweeted earlier that she "might be having a miscarriage" when she tweeted about her husband of one month and how she was filing for divorce.
A court date has been scheduled for Feb. 18 and Courtland Rogers currently faces two other criminal cases in Brunswick County.
