Farrah Abraham is known for drama and the latest news on the reality star has made headlines. The "Teen Mom" star was arrested in Omaha for a DUI according to USA Today on March 20.
It is reported that her blood alcohol level was twice the legal limit. Being a mother to her 4-year-old daughter, Sophia, should make her more responsible. While everyone makes mistakes, she should know better than to drink and drive. She could have killed someone or ended up dying herself, which would leave little Sophia without both parents.
The father of her child, Derek Underwood, died in a car crash just a few months before the reality star gave birth.
Farrah Abraham is not the only "Teen Mom" to have a DUI or to be behind bars. On March 4, Teen Mom News reported that Adam Lind, the ex-boyfriend of Chelsea Houska, was sentenced for his DUI and he also has a history of breaking the law. Fans expect someone like Adam to do something as irresponsible as drinking and driving, but nobody expected Farrah to end up in the slammer.
According to MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving,) 1.41 million people were arrested in 2010 for driving under the influence. One-third of those were repeat offenders. During that same year, 211 children were killed in alcohol-related car crashes. Out of those children, 131 were riding with a drunk parent.
Despite the DUI being a matter of public record, Farrah Abraham seems to be denying it. She tweeted,
"It's Amazing what people believe & makeup (LOVE MY LIFE) #Thank#God#I'mSuccessful & I don't care about drama! #HaveAGreatDay."
