“Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood is going to be able to see her daughter, Leah, a lot sooner than expected according to The Ashley on September 24. The Ashley reported exclusively that Amber, who has been in the Rockville Correctional Facility since June 2012 is set to be released in November.
Portwood was originally sentenced to serve five years in the state prison after being convicted of domestic battery on the father of Leah, Gary Shirley, along with possession of a controlled substance. It is reported that The Ashley was “tipped off by a source that Amber is scheduled for release on or very close to November 6.”
Amber’s brother Shawn has posted to the Amber Portwood Official Facebook page “Possibility of a media uproar so I just want to be the first to say before it is heard in the tabloids that Amber will be released soon. She has done everything required to be released long before the five year sentence. Congratulations sis, and I know that you will do everything we talked about. You now have control of your future and from what I know it looks bright. - Shawn Portwood.”
What do you think, do you think it is a good thing they are letting “Teen Mom” Amber Portwood out early? Do you think she has changed?
