“Teen Mom” Amber Portwood has been released from prison – nearly 4 years early, TMZ reported on Nov. 4.
The former MTV star was released from an Indiana prison after spending over a year behind bars for violating her probation in her drug possession case.
Although Amber Portwood was sentenced to five years in prison, the “Teen Mom” only served 17-months, and revealed that the first thing she wanted to do was get something good to eat.
Of course she likely also wants to see her daughter, Leah, who has been in the full custody of her father, Gary Shirley the entire time Amber’s been in jail.
Portwood is said to have done very well during her prison sentence, earning her GED, tackling her addiction, and even taking anger management classes.
Camera crews were present as Amber reunited with her family just moments after being released. This sparked fans interested, and had them wondering if MTV will be doing some sort of special on Amber in the near future.
