Amber Portwood of "Teen Mom" is doing amazingly well in prison, according to a post on her brother's blog, The Chili Man Chronicles on Jan. 18.
The reality star is currently serving time after leaving a court-ordered drug rehabilitation program and was given a sentence of five years.
However, Shawn Portwood says that his sister is doing great and is making amazing progress. He wrote on his blog that when she first went into prison she immediately enrolled in the CLIFF program. It is a drug rehabilitation program that has three stages. Amber Portwood is currently in the final stage and has been asked to be the rehab director because of how well she has been doing.
The "Teen Mom" star also plans on obtaining her GED and told Shawn Portwood that she is going to take the exam as soon as she graduates from the CLIFF program.
She has been allowed to have a job while in prison and currently supervises other girls, all of whom she gets along with. Shawn Portwood says that his sister is thinking about what she wants to do for a living when she gets out of prison and how to be a better role model for her daughter, Leah.
While most "Teen Mom" viewers do not like Amber Portwood because of her anger issues and drug problems, it is great that she is doing so well. Perhaps going to prison was the best choice for her and hopefully she will come out a better person, a more responsible mother and be able to make the right decisions in the future.
