Getting pregnant at a young age can be life changing for yourself and others, so it should be taken seriously.
The question that most teens/women ask themselves is if they should keep the baby, abort the baby, or adopt the baby to a good family. Everybody has their own opinions on pregnant teens so we will just discuss the options that are out there for these young to-be-moms.
Parenting is a very stressful, enjoyable, confusing, and exciting part of life but it's not for everyone. A good parent knows when to say no and knows that their child comes first, this means giving up parts of your own social life. If the mother is stressed or unhappy the baby will be too because they can since this in their mother, to have a happy baby the mother has to be happy too, and this includes the feeling you have toward your infant. The biggest issue with most humans in general is abortion and if it is cruel or the mothers choice. Many believe the fetus is still human and that you would be killing a human being if you abort the baby, so would that be a crime? Why abort a baby when there are so many people who want children and are not able to have them? Others believe that it is the mothers body so it is her choice and that a fetus is not a baby until after the first trimester. There is also the choice to adopt the baby to a good family. Maybe the teen mom-to-be does'nt think she can handle being a parent, or the baby was conceived from a rape crime, and she may not believe in abortions. There are many adoption agencies in the world that would love to help a baby find a home. Teens should keep in mind that in order to take care of a newborn or infant there are lots and lots of diapers to be bought, formula, and clothing. If the teen is still in school they will need a babysitter to keep the child while they are gone during the day, and don't forget about the lack of sleep, the amount of time a baby consumes, and health issues for the mother and child. For all the expecting teens remember, it's your choice and your responsibility, be wise.
