Leah and Jeremy's relationship had the potential of being problematic from the very beginning, first because their relationship from the very beginning has been televised. Leah and Jeremy met after a friend set them up, and he was entering a relationship that already came with two kids, then they married and had another. Jeremy is a pipe layer by trade and is very invested in his job, which often takes him away from his home and family for up to months at a time.
Leah claims that Jeremy is so invested in his career that he doesn't always see how it takes away from his family. His dedication sometimes means that Leah and Jeremy don't communicate for days at a time while he's working. Leah is left home with her three girls, which puts a strain on her. Jeremy pays the bills through his huge earnings while Leah stays home with the girls.
The great thing about their relationship is that even though they often don't see each other for a long period of time, or speak to each other, they handle it maturely and make up for it when he's home.
Would you be able to be in a relationship where your spouse was gone for long periods of time?
