Leah Calvert and Corey Simms' daughter Ali was recently diagnosed with a rare and incurable form of muscular dystrophy. As a result, the officials at the local school informed the former couple that she would need to start school earlier than the rest of the kids so that she would be used to the daily events before school officially started.
On tonight's episode of "Teen Mom 2," Ali attends her first day of school.
In a sneak peek at the episode, obtained by Wetpaint Entertainment on March 11, Leah and Jeremy are seen meeting Leah's ex-husband, Corey, at Ali's school where they meet with teachers to find out how their daughter did on her first day.
After being informed by Ali's teachers that she did "great" on her first day, Leah, Corey, and Jeremy have a private chat amongst themselves.
"I'm just hoping she was OK all day without us," Corey tells Leah.
"That was my biggest fear," Leah says in response. "But I feel like she would have let us know. And I feel like she did pretty good."
