Leah Calvert may appear to be struggling with her finances on "Teen Mom 2," but in real life, she appears to be doing quite well. Not only did the mother of three just buy a new house, she's also purchased a horse.
On Twitter, Calvert revealed the news to fans. Right away, she was met with criticism.
"I'm looking for a childs saddle and a child's handicapped saddle! We just got our first horse and the girls are going to be ready to ride!" Calvert wrote on Twitter on Aug. 28. In response, several commenters wondered how she had that kind of money -- especially considering her daughter's medical bills.
Just last month, Calvert opened up about her financial trouble in an interview with In Touch Weekly. And from the sound of the interview, Calvert definitely didn't seem to be in a place where she would be able to buy a horse.
"It’s stressful because insurance doesn’t cover the whole cost," Calvert told the magazine of her and her husband Jeremy's financial struggles. "One bill alone was $20,000."
As if that weren't enough to lead to some speculation as to what Calvert's situation really is (Is she struggling with medical bills or is she splurging on horses?), recent episodes of "Teen Mom 2" have included Calvert's devastation over her daughter not having a proper wheelchair.
Would Calvert really buy a horse instead of getting her daughter the chair she needed?
