"Teen Mom 2" star Gary Head hasn't made headlines in a while.

Although the reality star, formerly engaged to Jenelle Evans, used to frequent the headlines for his illegal behavior and drama-filled relationship with Evans, he has since taken time off from the tabloids, choosing to live a more private life away from the MTV cameras -- and away from the speculation of fans.

However, that all came to an end earlier this week when Head was involved in a shooting.

According to an April 22 report by Wetpaint Entertainment, Head's near-death experience was recently the topic of his Twitter feed.

"Literally had a man die in my arms tonight," Head tweeted after the incident, adding, "I can't stand a thief. A good man lost his life tonight over a stores daily earnings."

Apparently, Head was a bystander during a robbery gone wrong, and after the money had been stolen, he was nearly shot. Unfortunately, another man was, which caused Head to do some serious reflecting on his life and those important to him.

"I just wanna get home. Hold my mother & tell her how much I love her," he tweeted. "I was a parking space over from the shooter. Could of been me."

While Head appeared to be pretty beat up over the incident and seeing someone die, he later brushed off the incident, acting as if he deals with that sort of thing all the time.

"Death & gunshots are nothing new to me," he explained.

Head dated Evans for a couple of years, on and off, but in early 2013, they officially called of their relationship and don't appear to have had any contact since.
