'Teen Mom 2' Season 3: 'Love Hurts' recap

Tonight’s episode of Teen Mom 2 opened with Kailyn, her friend Nikita, and Isaac’s trip to meet with Kailyn’s lawyer. Her lawyer reminded her she was being a moron and asked Nikita to take Isaac out into the lobby so he didn’t have to listen to their conversation. After they left, Kate (the lawyer), told Kailyn she did have the right to keep the PFA order in place. Kailyn suggested she and Jo attend anger management classes and learn to co-parent better.

Chelsea hadn’t gotten her period or talked to Adam since the two hooked up. It was her first day of beauty school, so she dropped Aubree off at day care and headed to school. Chelsea’s teacher explained what they would learn in that class, told them they would each practice on each other and mannequin heads, and asked everyone to participate in what she called “Mingle.” Chelsea was hesitant at first, but she eventually wandered around and mingled with her new classmates.

Jenelle had a hard time focusing on her schoolwork knowing that Kieffer was out of jail. (After all, who can forget such a dreamy convict?) She told her roommate, Allison, about the situation with Kieffer and how he had tried to reach out to her, but she really felt she was over him.

Leah was still getting over her miscarriage and talked to her friend Kayla about Jeremy’s feelings regarding the miscarriage and their relationship. Meanwhile, her children wore horrible flowered outfits that looked straight out of the 1970s and wandered about, picking up the dog and carrying it around at their leisure. Leah went on to explain that Corey only seems to want to be with her when they can’t be together. When Kayla asked if Leah would walk away from Jeremy if Corey told her he wanted them to date, she hesitated before saying she would.

Kailyn filled Javi in on the newest developments with Jo, and Jo talked to his brother Junior about going to court the next day. Jo explained his lawyer was confident the PFA would get dropped.

Jenelle went to visit her mom, Barbara, at her new house. Jace wandered about the house in his diaper and asked for a vitamin. Barbara joked that “he’s a healthy boy.” Afterward, Jenelle went out to lunch with Gary, where they discussed the Kieffer situation.

Leah and Jeremy took the girls out to eat. They talked about how their relationship began and debated Jeremy “stalking” Leah via Facebook before they got together. Jeremy told Leah he thought they should slow things down now that they knew they didn’t have another kid on the way.

Chelsea had a successful first day of school and was excited to pick Aubree up. Once in the car, Aubree told Chelsea, “Aubree okay.” The two of them went over to Chelsea’s mom’s house. She asked Chelsea if Adam knew she was in school, and Chelsea snapped at her and said it was none of his business.

Kailyn and Jo went to court, and Kailyn freaked out in the car when she learned Jo brought his family along as witnesses. Her friends GiGi and Nikita tried to calm her down, but it didn’t work very well. Once inside the courthouse, Kailyn’s lawyer told her she thought they should drop the PFA in order for them to participate in co-parenting counseling. She also suggested they keep their significant others out of things, and Jo, Kailyn, and their lawyers headed inside together.

Corey talked to his dad about how things were going with Leah. He explained he couldn’t help wondering what things would be like if they would have stayed together.

Jenelle’s friend Tory called and told her she had hooked up with Gary just before he and Jenelle started dating. Jenelle told Gary she needed some space, and he called to hear her voice. He told her he really wanted things to work out. Jenelle was mad Gary hadn’t told her what happened. She said she really thought she was going to marry him and that he could be a father figure for Jace, but now she could never see it. He asked if he should give up, and she told him he should before he hung up the phone.

Chelsea continued to worry she was pregnant and talked to her friend Tiffany about school and Aubree before telling her about Adam. She didn’t think she was pregnant, but it was still a worry for her. As the rest of Chelsea’s friends had before, Tiffany stared at Chelsea like she had spouted a second head between her shoulders and didn’t say much.

Leah got a text from Corey that said he needed to talk to her, so she gave him a call. He told her he broke up with his girlfriend because he still had feelings for Leah. She told him it was confusing because she is with Jeremy, but he told her Jeremy is a nice guy, and he thought he should tell her. Jeremy got home from work, and Leah told him she needed to talk to him. She explained that Corey was messing around with her head again, and Jeremy wondered when things would ever be over between her and Corey. She pulled the “you’re at work all the time” card and told him it’s hard for her to be alone all the time. (Yet we are supposed to believe this girl is mature enough to get married and have another child?)

Kailyn agreed to withdraw the PFA order, so the judge dismissed it, and everyone agreed Jo and Kailyn would do counseling together to avoid a repeat of the altercation the two shared. Back at Kailyn’s house, GiGi did Kailyn’s hair, and the two of them talked about how things went at court. Kailyn was obviously still angry and couldn’t understand why Jo’s mother was there, despite the fact that sher herself brought two friends along for support.

Gary wanted to talk to Jenelle, but she just wanted him to get his stuff and leave. Instead, he barged in, and the two got into an argument. Jenelle told Gary she was hurt, and he told her he messed up and drank that night, but the two were just friends and hadn’t started dating at that point. As usual, Jenelle got violent and threw Gary’s stuff around before returning to her bed to cry her eyes out. (They seem to close out a lot of episodes with Jenelle’s tantrums).

Tune into Teen Mom 2 next week Monday night at 9 p.m. on MTV in Milwaukee to see the official return of Kieffer, Leah continue to treat Jeremy like dirt in her pursuit to rekindle a relationship with Corey, Kailyn and Jo have their first awkward reunion since court, and Chelsea get her “menstrual cycle” the next month to confirm she is not pregnant.
