On Jan. 8, MTV released a new sneak peek preview for "Teen Mom 2" season 3, episode 9, "A New Direction." The preview gives fans a glimpse of what will happen in the next episode so if you don’t like spoilers, turn away now!
The preview (seen below) features a heartbreaking scene in which Kailyn calls her mother, Suzi to discuss the issue of her stopping by Joe's house to see Isaac without her permission.
Fans of the show know that Kailyn has no relationship with her mom. She has tried to call her mom in the past, but her mother's only response was to block Kailyn's number from her phone. Lately, Kailyn has been missing having family in her life, but after this preview, it doesn't seem like mother and daughter will ever be able to reconcile.
The preview begins with Kailyn and her friend Mark chatting over lunch. Kailyn explains that she had a great time in Texas and was thrilled to be able to spend some time with her cousin and sister, but she was upset to learn that her mother had stopped by Joe's to see Isaac, claiming that she happened to be in the neighborhood. Mark offers to lend Kailyn his phone so that she can call her mom.
Kailyn calls and when her mother Suzi discovers that it's her daughter on the phone, she hangs up. Kailyn calls back and asks her mother why she randomly showed up to see Isaac. Suzi responds, "I don't know what you're trying to say, Kailyn," and hangs up again! Kailyn calls again and leaves a voice mail telling her mother that she cannot disappear for over a year, and then drop in unannounced to see her child. She goes on to say that it's not a good example to set for Isaac.
Suzi calls back and tells Kailyn that she doesn't need her permission to see Isaac and icily adds, "It's none of your business when I want to see my grandson."
After her mother hangs up on her again, Kailyn breaks down and begins to cry. She tells Mark that she doesn't want to put Isaac through the same pain that she has endured when her mother randomly pops in and out of her life.
No one can blame Kailyn for trying to protect Isaac but it's such a shame that she has such a deadbeat mom. Kudos to her for standing up to her mom and doing her best to care for her son!
