Part two of "Teen Mom 2" season five premiered on Wednesday, July 16, giving viewers the chance to catch up with the lives of teen moms Kailyn Lowry, Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska, and Leah Messer. In an interview with OK! Magazine, posted hours before the premiere on Wednesday, July 16, Kailyn talked about what viewers can expect to see in the upcoming episodes.
While Kailyn's ex-boyfriend Jo and his girlfriend Vee weren't in the first episode, Kailyn revealed that they'll definitely be in the upcoming episodes. Surprisingly, given her bad relationship with Jo in the past, which even resulted in a custody battle over their son Isaac, it doesn't seem that viewers will see Kailyn having much drama with Jo and Vee on part two of season five. Kailyn said that there is actually "a ton of really positive and good stuff with Vee" that viewers will see.
Kailyn also admitted to watching Jo and Vee on the "Being Dad" special. She didn't have anything negative to say about Jo and Vee, only that it "was really weird to watch" since she never knew what Jo and Vee's relationship was like without her around.
Besides Jo and Vee, viewers will be seeing a lot of Kailyn's mom. Kailyn said that her relationship with her mom is a big part of her storyline. Unfortunately, it seems that Kailyn and her mom still has a ways to go in terms of healing and forgiveness. When asked what Isaac's relationship is like with her mom, Kailyn admitted that he doesn't realize that she's his grandmother, something that isn't that surprising since Kailyn's mom has been absent from both of their lives for the most part.
The premiere episode showed Kailyn Lowry and husband Javi Marroquin, stressed out from the addition of a second child, in a rough patch. Kailyn felt that Javi wasn't helping out enough with the house and children while Javi felt neglected. Kailyn even said in the episode that she's not happy in her marriage.
Thankfully, Kailyn said in her interview that things are much better now between her and Javi and that she's happy. It's good to see that when it comes to marriage and kids, Kailyn, despite being a reality TV star, goes through the same issues that moms all across the country face every day!
