In what could be a bad sign -- and over something that should have been discussed pre-marriage -- newlyweds Jenelle Evans and Courtland Rogers split, then reconciled. The couple is definitely off to a rocky start in their new marriage, which hasn't even reached one month yet.
The incident began on Sunday, Dec. 30, which means it was only 26 days after the couple wed (on Dec. 4). According to the report, which emerged on New Year's Day, Evans had a melt-down because she felt that Rogers spent too much time on the phone with his ex. The problem is, his ex- is the mother of his daughter, so naturally there is going to be some talking.
It's something -- as noted above -- that should have been discussed and ironed out pre-wedding. However, there was a bit of a rush on that wedding: The couple married two weeks after he proposed, which was only three months into their relationship.
Twitter was the scene of some of the hysterics. In one tweet, Evans said:
First of all why is your daughter up at 11pm anyways when you were "talking" to her on the phone?! Haha right
The tweet sent in response said,
So I just got broke up with because of talkin to my lil girl on the phone last night finally getting to here her tell me she loves dada! Wow.
Later tweets from Rogers included the following:
I dont understand how I can get divorced for hearin my daughter MY DAUGHTER tell me she loves me and goodnight
So now I just lost my soulmate and my wife and my future
why is it a problem if I talk to my daughter Tay???? U know?? This is fuxked up and the reason I couldn't come on Christmas
come home to ur husband !! Quit f*cking making this look like my fault let me love u jenelle like I always have and more
Those tweets make it sound like the couple had split.
Evans then deactivated her Twitter account, which could have been a good thing as the public argument went private. Or at the very least, it went one-sided.
Despite what seemed to be those tweets above, implying the two were done as a couple, Rogers tweeted further clarification:
For the record I never broke up with jenelle we took a day break with our families to enjoy time with them I love her with all my heart
Jenelle and I are happily married I don't know why the news said we were officially getting a divorce when clearly we are together lol
It seems like a lot of drama for a couple that hasn't been married for a month yet. However, remember where Evans got her fame: "Teen Mom 2."
