A teen was killed and four others injured Tuesday in a single-vehicle wreck in Henry County, and police believe it was weather-related.

Mr. Nash Beever, 17, of McDonough, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Henry County police.
The wreck happened around 5:30 p.m. on Coan Road just east of Willow Creek Drive in McDonough, police spokesman Sgt. Joey Smith said.

Investigators said Mr. Beever was driving a white Ford Ranger pick-up with three males and one female when he lost control and left the roadway.

Two of the males were taken to Piedmont Henry Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and one was taken to Southern Regional, also with non-life threatening injuries.

The female was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and remained in serious condition Wednesday. But officials said she was improving.

All the occupants were Henry County teenagers, but police could not confirm which schools they attend.

“Preliminary investigation reveals that weather conditions were a factor and lack of proper safety restraints will also be a factor,” Sgt. Smith said.

Still, the investigation is ongoing.
