The top-end Perimeter in Sandy Springs reopened early Friday following a fiery three-car crash that killed a 17-year-old and her 2-year-old daughter.
On Friday, the Sandy Springs police identified the mom as Ms. Gabriella Faiz, of Douglasville. On Saturday, the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office identified her daughter as Jada Faiz.
The crash happened after 9 p.m. Thursday on I-285 westbound at the Ga. 400 ramp, but police are still trying to determine what caused it.
Three vehicles were involved the wreck and another person was transported to the hospital for minor injuries, police spokesman Capt. Steve Rose said.
Ms. Faiz and her daughter who was in the back seat died at the scene, Capt. Rose said.
So far, police have not released any details on the circumstances of the wreck, which led to the shutdown of I-285 westbound for several hours while police investigate.
So far, no charges have been filed and police have not released the identities of the others involved in the wreck.
