A teen was found shot to death Tuesday night in the driveway of his home in Milton, and police are trying to determine who shot the 19-year-old.
Detectives believe Mr. Christopher Walker was shot during a struggle with an robber outside his home.
The investigation began around 7:30 p.m. when officers responded to a home on Silhouette Court in a neighborhood off Deerfield Parkway after getting a 911 call that a person had been shot.
Officers found Mr. Walker in the driveway of his home, police spokesman Capt. Shawn McCarty said.
“He had been shot in the head once,” Capt. McCarty said. “The victim was transported to North Fulton Regional Hospital, where he died.”
Detectives have no suspects, Capt. McCarty said. Still, investigators have collected evidence to piece together the incident, he said.
Investigators believe the suspect attempted to rob Mr. Walker, but the 19-year-old resisted. And during the struggle he was shot, Capt. McCarty told CBS News Atlanta.
The murder is the seventh one in the city’s six-year history, police said.
