A Seattle teen has a lot to be thankful for this Christmas. Alonza Bryant, 16, was taking a nap on her couch when a bullet came through her living room window. Since she was wearing her glasses, the bullet was deflected, potentially saving her life. According to the report, the 16-year-old was sleeping when a car circled her house two times, a person inside shooting rounds but only one bullet making it through the window. That bullet his Bryant's eye glasses before becoming lodged in her nose.
Police said that Alonza was not the intended victim but it does not sound like the shooting was random. There is someone living at that house that is said to be involved in gangs -- and police believe that's who the intended target was.
Even still, Alonza is thankful that she wasn't killed. Had she not been wearing her glasses, the bullet would have gone in her eye and could have been lodged in her brain. Her family is planning on moving out of their Seattle home following this incident.
