This time last year, fans voting on the Teen Choice Awards nominations hadn't even heard of Jersey Shore. But this year, who hasn't heard of MTV's biggest reality tv stars? What a difference a year makes and for at least one Jersey Shore cast member it means a prized Teen Choice Award nomination.
As if his ego needed any stroking Mike "The Situation" broke the news on Twitter today (Wednesday) announcing he's up for a surfboard statue. "Just nominated by the Teen Choice Awards for MALE Reality Star or Character of the Year Award," he wrote.
The full list of 2010 Teen Choice Awards nominees hasn't been released yet, but is expected any day. Katy Perry was announced earlier this week as the host of this year's show. An all female lineup of performers was also just revealed and includes Miranda Cosgrove, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus.
The Teen Choice Awards on Fox honor the year's biggest achievements in music, movies, sports, television, fashion and more, as voted on by teens ages 14–19.
Voting for the Teen Choice Awards begins later this month! The 2010 Teen Choice Awards air Monday August 9 at 8/7 C on Fox.
