A man was arrested Friday in a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured earlier this month in DeKalb County. Still, the motive for the deadly shootout remained unclear Saturday.
Reco Rodriges Hart, 18, was charged with murder in the death of Adunte Carr during a May 15 shootout on Boulder Walk Lane, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Hart was also shot during the shootout that involved three others who were all in the same automobile, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
One man was killed and two others critically injured that Thursday night in DeKalb County, DeKalb County police spokeswoman Mekka Parish has said. Police at the time were trying to locate the original crime scene since the victims were found in two separate locations.
The investigation began around 9:45 p.m. when officers responded to 1510 Key Road after getting a report of shots fired, police said. When officers arrived they found a Silver Nissan Sentra overturned at the location, Parish said.
A man was found dead inside car and investigators later determined that he died from a gunshot wound, Parish said.
Officers found a second man outside the car, Parish said. The 28-year-old victim was transported to the hospital and was in critical condition late Friday afternoon, she said.
A third person, who investigators believe was connected to the crime scene, was found outside a home at 1420 Foxhall Lane, Parish said. The 18-year-old was shot multiple times and was listed in critical condition.
Detectives were questioning a fourth person who was located near the scene. The 32-year-old man was not injured and police were trying to determine what he was doing at the scene and if he was involved in the shooting, Parish said.
