A teen was shot multiple times and left to die in the roadway of a Lithonia neighborhood Thursday afternoon.

So far, no suspect has been arrested and police said they have not determined the motive for the 19-year-old’s murder.

Mr. LeRobbian Lowe was gunned down across the street from his mother's home in the Covington Station townhome subdivision on Strathmoor Manor Circle, relatives told the news media.

Officers responded to the neighborhood around 12:25 p.m. after getting a report of shots fired in the 5300 block of Strathmoor Manor Circle, according to DeKalb County police.

“When officers arrived on scene, they discovered the victim in the roadway suffering from multiple gunshot injuries,” police spokeswoman Ms. Mekka Parish said. “He was pronounced dead on the scene.”

Witnesses told police they saw a man in dark clothes running from the location, Ms. Parish said. But she was not able to provide a detailed description of the man.

The victim did not live in the neighborhood, Ms. Parish said.

"It's just sad because he was so young," the teen's cousin Mr. Jaquis Lowe told reporters, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
