Teddy Geiger's sold out gig at The Roxy Theatre (Photos)

Teddy Geiger maintained his confidence in front of a sold out crowd at The Roxy Theatre, on Jan. 19. He was the opening act alongside Spencer Simmons and Tyler Hilton. Ryan Cabrera was the headliner.

Ryan Vaughn is the percussionist and he accompanied Geiger. Hilton made a special guest appearance, during his set.

Geiger began his set with “These Walls”. Vaughn sat on and struck the cajón, had a tambourine under his right foot, shakers tucked in his left shoe and a drum brush in his right hand to strike a warped cymbal.

“What’s up, Hollywood?” Vaughn greeted the crowd, before “Night Air”.
A stagehand reached up and provided Geiger with two Red Bull Energy Drinks. A female attendee yelled they weren’t good for his voice and he responded by telling her they were sugar-free.

Audience interaction was requested, while Geiger introduced “Shake It Off”.
“That sounded great,” Geiger praised the audience before continuing with the second verse.
During the bridge, Vaughn tucked his drum bush under his arm and struck the cajón with both hands.

After “Shake It Off”, Geiger complimented his fans again. Vaughn spoke of the questions he was often asked. One was which his favorite city was thus far. His answer would always be the sold out show in Athens, Ga. He said the show at the venue was becoming one of their favorites. Then, Geiger stated his next album will be out in a couple of months. He had two more songs to add vocals to and it was in the process of being mixed.

Hilton accompanied Geiger and Vaughn, after Geiger had requested for a special guest to join them on stage for “Lie Tonight (WE USed Two)”. Hilton provided backup vocals and played the keyboard, as Vaughn told those in attendance it was okay to dance. After, Geiger asked the spectators to give Hilton one more round of applause. Then, Vaughn joked of the times he signs autographs and often gets mistaken for Hilton.

Before “For You I Will (Confidence)”, Geiger tricked the onlookers to believing he would end the night with a new song. Afterwards, Vaughn mentioned he and Geiger would be signing autographs until the venue kicked them out. During the opening chords, the listeners cheered and went onto sing every lyric with Geiger.

“Happier”, “Home”, “Air Dry” “Walking in the Sun” and “Better Now” were also part of Geiger’s set.
