Miley Cyrus is back in the news. She has been both praised and criticized for her MTV VMA performance. Today, a representative from the Teddy Bear Fund blasted the young singer for her crotch swinging performance to TMZ.
The rep told TMZ, “Miley made a poor choice to use a universally loved children's teddy bear in an offensive way.”
If you missed the show, Cyrus emerged from a giant teddy bear on stage before being surrounded by an army of teddy bears that she thrusted her crotch at and grinded on.
“There is always good art and bad art –unfortunately... this was bad art,” the rep said.
The Teddy Bear Fund, an organization that gives out teddy bears to children in abuse shelters, is hopeful that Cyrus can “reverse the situation” by donating teddy bears to children in need.
The Teddy Bear Fund isn't the only one to have come out against the pop star's performance. The Parents Television Council wasn't happy with the performance either. Cyrus' dad, Billy Ray, sits on the advisory board for the PTC.
Other celebrities have shown support for the star including Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake, and Adam Lambert.
