Ted Nugent's brother: Jeffrey Nugent endorses gun background checks

Ted Nugent's brother, Jeffrey Nugent, wrote in a Washington Post op-ed piece that he would endorse gun background checks. According to a May 20, 2013 article in The Huffington Post, he is getting feedback for his criticism from his brother.

"'Ted is someone who speaks in extremes to make his points,' Jeffrey Nugent writes of his brother's often controversial rhetoric. 'It reflects who he is, and it works for him and his audience.'"

Jeffrey, Ted's older brother, believes in the right to bear arms but feels expanded background checks are necessary. He is for gun ownership, but feels that "not everyone is qualified." In a recent reply Ted feels that his elder brother is an "activist" and he loves him for it, but he completely disagrees with him as well.

Whichever side you are on both brothers have good points. This discourse is actually a great example of many freedoms that Americans enjoy on a daily basis.

Jeffrey Nugent is the former president and chief executive of powerhouse cosmetics brand Revlon. His brother Ted is a famous rocker who has become more political and outspoken about his own views on gun control and is chairman of the National Rifle Association.
