Nature's long overdue removal of Ted Kennedy from the U.S. Senate is a silver lining in what would otherwise be a hopelessly dark moment in the history of this country. It is a step in the right direction (only 59 to go). We have shed a back-stabbing, perverted crook who has spent decades betraying his country and everything it stands for...and was completely unaccountable to society.
One has to imagine that there is a special place in Hell (right next to O.J., Bernie Madoff, and Drew Peterson) for such a corrupt, ultra-partisan drunk who literally got away with murder, whored himself out to anything that would say yes, and openly fought for abominations like partial-birth abortion. Yes, Kennedy was a true American hero totally deserving of our reverence and adoration.
Some of his esteemed accomplishments:
- He led the vicious slander campaign that derailed the Supreme Court nomination of Robert Bork.
- He championed the cause of rewarding illegal immigrants for breaking into our country and bankrupting our system.
- He openly and aggressively attacked constitutional rights such as gun ownership.
- He supported the government price controls that created the nationwide fuel shortage of the 1970s and supported every "green" assault on the free market ever devised...except for wind turbines, which would have ended up in his back yard.
- He perpetuated the absurd terror-apologist nonsense that intercepting the phone calls of foreign al Qaida terrorists somehow violated their non-existent constitutional rights.
- He lied about, trashed, and undermined our troops in Iraq at every turn.
- He championed the unconstitutional nanny state policy disaster known as "No Child Left Behind."
- He fought to un-define marriage for all of society so that gays could feel more mainstream than they are.
- He senselessly made the poor less employable and products more expensive for everyone to artificially inflate the wages of a tiny fraction of entry-level part-timers.
- He vigorously promoted Barack Obama's war on health care.
Even in death, this disgusting partisan sleazebag managed to vividly demonstrate his shameless hypocrisy. Karl Marx himself would have been a less embarrassing and disastrous Senator for this country. No reasonable, thinking human being could see the death of this petty, America-hating fraud as anything but an improvement.
Good riddance.

The news media states that Ted Kennedy was a "Democratic Lion" however I've been wondering if they misspelled that last word? He cheated in college, possibly killed an innocent girl (and attempted to blame it on her) and led a cheesy lifestyle. It was well known that he was the intellectual dullard of his family and this makes him a leader of note?

Thank you Mr. Moon for writting an honest article. The man may very well be in hell and the whole country is high on happy thoughts saying how wonderful he was. Some people have become enablers. To all those people who say "judge not, lest ye be judged" and "don't speak ill of the dead", I have some information for you. You can attend free co-dependant anonymous meetings to cure you of enabling drunks and murderers.
Wow, Bob, classy essay on a dead guy. You're entitled to your opinion, you're entitled to say whatever you want about him. But this tells readers more about what kind of person you are than what kind of person Sen. Kennedy was.

Who are you to judge the mind of God, that Kennedy should go to Hell? It is not Man's place to judge Man, but God's only:

If Kennedy isn't in Hell, than the vast majority of human beings have nothing to worry about. I would rather see Moon's fearless honesty than watch others candy-coat what a total piece of crap Kennedy was.
As a conservative, and not a Kennedy fan, I have to say you are out of line. Allow the grieving their moment. Why would you want to hurt them further? Save your hate for later, and respect the family as you would want them to respect you.
Democrats fought for slavery. Democrats created the Klan (learn how to spell basic words if you're going to try to insult the intelligence of others). Democrats resisted REPUBLICAN efforts to desegregate the schools. Democrats are the ones with a Klansman 3rd in line to be president. Democrats are the ones who said blacks were "lazy, violent, and responsible for their own troubles" in Election 2008...when they were explaining why they voted for Hillary over Obama.
...And you think baselessly linking those who stand for ACTUAL equality (Republicans) to the Klan passes for a counterpoint here?
