Ted DiBiase, AJ Lee among many paying tribute to Paul Bearer on Twitter

Wrestling superstars from many eras are today reacting to the death of WWE legend Paul Bearer, lighting up the Twittersphere with condolences and memories.

Former WWE superstar and current TNA/Impact Wrestling star Bully Ray notes that he was thankful to have been able to work with the late manager. Superstar Tommy Dreamer notes that Bearer “did his job so well.” “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase stated “The wrestling world lost a good man today and I lost a good friend.” Current WWE superstar AJ Lee noted: “When I first met Paul Bearer I completely marked out & he was kind enough to humor me. So sweet & humble. Such a legend.”

As of this writing, the hashtag “#RIP” was the number one trend on Twitter, with posts hashtagged as such relating to a mix between Bearer’s passing and the death of Venezuelan president Hugo Chavez.

Paul Bearer, real name William Moody, passed away Tuesday at the age of 58. While it may seem obvious that Paul Bearer was a memorable part of the WWE Universe, the proof may be found in the outpouring of memories and condolences spreading across the web today.
