They are doing it again! March 7,8,9 and 10, 2013, the Techmoja Dance & Theater Company will present the Broadway Play “Dream Girls” to the awaiting Port City audience. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the venue. Which is located at the corner of South 2nd & Orange St. A full house is expected all 3 days. The seats are filling up fast and not surprising so, that many of the guests are flocking in from Wilmington, NC and from other states as well.
“Techmoja Dance & Theatre Company” productions are under the professional guidance of Director-Choreographer Kevin Lee-Y Green. Mr. Green is definitely stranger to the Arts or Theater production. Kevin Lee-Y has gotten really involved in everyone of his previous productions. He seems to know every nook and cranny of the songs, the script, all costumes & props. Each entity must pass his scrutiny and he literally listened to each of the cast members; both dancers and singers- on a one on one basis. All in part to assure that each are up to the expected “Techmoja” quality.
Named after the popular Broadway play and the movie that followed, the Techmoja production will certainly “bring it home”. Dreamgirls will run at the Hannah Block Historic USO & Community Arts Center, conveniently located at 120 South 2nd street at the corner off Orange St. on March 7, 8, 9, and 10th -tickets are prices at $15.00 for adults and $12.00 for children, seniors and military: active duty or retired, $12.00.
