Team USA wins 2 more medals on day 2 of Paralympics competition in Sochi

On the second day of competition at the 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympic Games, Team USA picked up two more medals. Team USA now sits with a total of five Paralympic medals (three silver and two bronze). While this ties them for third place for straight number of medals, it puts them 9th overall in the medal standings. Team USA also improved their records in both Ice Sledge Hockey and Wheelchair Curling.

Silver
Mark Bathum – Alpine Skiing – Men’s Super G, Visually Impaired

Bronze
Oksana Masters – Cross-Country Skiing – Women's 12km, Sitting

Team USA remained victorious in Ice Sledge Hockey by winning their second game of Preliminary Round - Group B. Their 3-0 win over Korea moves them to 2-0. In Wheelchair Curling, Team USA improved their record to 1-1 by winning their Round Robin Session 3 game. Team USA was victorious over Norway, 8-5.
