Team USA beat Russia in an exciting shoot out on Saturday, Feb. 15 in the Sochi 2014 Olympics, and next up is USA vs. Slovenia in men's hockey, which will air on live TV and via live stream video on Sunday morning. According to a Feb. 15 Bleacher Report, Slovenia made it to the game after an unexpected 3-1 win against Slovakia, which is the first team that Team USA faced and beat in the 2014 Winter Olympics.
With a win over Slovenia, Team USA will win Group A. They still have to win this game, and although beating the Russians in such exciting style was thrilling, the men's hockey team immediately has to refocus on tomorrow's game, which they need to win. Although Team USA has had good success in the Sochi 2014 Olympics, there is plenty of room for improvement for this team as the tournament progresses, and the team needs to correct some of its mistakes in order to have a shot at winning the gold medal in Sochi.
Jonathan Quick is expected to take the goal for Team USA tomorrow after allowing Russia two goals today. He made multiple saves during the game's shootout portion, and ultimately Team USA was able to win because he was able to save the goals. Meanwhile, Slovenia will send Robert Kristan to the goal in hopes of upsetting the American team. An upset seems highly unlikely though, and Team USA should pull through the matchup with a win, and head straight to the Olympic hockey quarterfinals.
You can watch Team USA vs. Slovenia on Sunday morning starting at 7:30 a.m. EST on NBC Sports Network. If you are not around to catch this game on TV, you can watch a live stream video on the NBC Olympic website if you have valid login credentials.
