On the March 13th, the 6th day of competition at the 2014 Sochi Winter Paralympic Games, Team USA did not pick up a medal in Alpine Skiing, but advances to the Ice Sledge Hockey final game to battle the Russian Federation for the gold meal...and also for the chance to win back-to-back Paralympic golds. While this puts them in 4th place for the actual number of medals won, it puts them 13th overall in the ranked medal standings.
