Team McCready, a division of the Wishlist Foundation, a Pearl Jam fan non-profit organization, is hosting a one-day, world-wide benefit event on Saturday, April 10th stretching from the United Kingdom to the United States. The fundraiser will benefit Advocacy for Patients with Chronic Illness, an organization Pearl Jam’s lead guitarist Mike McCready supports.
The Miami event will be held at 8oz. Burger Bar in Miami Beach from 8pm to close. The event will host a Rock Band Competition with many prizes to be won as well as a raffle and auction. Advocacy for Patients is the only advocacy organization in the United States that provides free information, advice, and support services to patients with chronic illnesses in all areas including health and disability insurance, Social Security disability, employment discrimination, school-based accommodations, resource location, and more.
Other locations across the globe participating include Leeds UK, Boston, Chicago, Hartford, Hawaii, Nebraska, Seattle, New Jersey and Los Angeles.
Attendees will be able to make donations at the event, enjoy drink specials, and win raffle items, including fan-donated Pearl Jam memorabilia. All ages are welcome to attend the fundraiser at 8oz. Burger Bar, 1080 Alton Road on Saturday, April 10th 8pm – close. Tickets cost $10 and can be purchased at the event. Donations can also be made directly to www.firstgiving.com/miamichapter.
