The Surf City Surf Dog competition is going on this weekend in Huntington Beach. DOGTV is a new team entering this year. The dogs on the team are actual surf competition veterans, but this is the very first year that DOGTV will act as a team sponsor.
DOGTV is a recently launched and highly popular television network. It was created just for dogs; the first of its kind. It is dog-approved programming that has been scientifically developed and tested to treat stay-at-home dogs around the world. It is meant to be relaxing, stimulating and have exposure segments that work together to provide a good balance for the daily routines of the dogs. This way, when dogs aren’t surfing, they are able to kick back and relax with their very own DOGTV! DOGTV's revolutionary content is designed for a dog's visual, auditory and emotional sensibility. Team DOGTV includes:
· Franky Chaos (nickname: Frankers) is a 2-year old male Doberman Pincher/Labrador Retriever mix from San Diego. This will be his fifth surf competition and his second time competing at Surf City Surf Dog. His favorite thing about surfing is being out in the ocean with his owner, and you’ll often catch him smiling while riding the waves.
· Kalani (nickname: ‘Lil Surfer Girl) is a 5-year old Golden Retriever from San Diego. She has competed in 15 surf competitions, and this will be her second time competing in Surf City Surf Dog. Kalani’s favorite part about surfing is playing on her board and riding it in to the shore.
· Hanzo (nickname: The Samurai Surf Dog) is a five-year old Boxer from Hollywood. He has competed in 10 competitions with his first one at just 8 months. He is obsessed with surfing (and skateboarding) and loves the attention he gets from it. What’s great about Hanzo is that when he wipes out, he’ll pop up and swim back to his board to catch another wave.
· Faith (nickname: Baby Girl) is a one-year old female Pitt Bull mix from San Diego. She is a natural surfer, with only one competition under her belt where she placed second in her heat. Faith’s favorite part about surfing is being out with her fellow surfer friends. Once she catches a wave you can see her determination when she spreads her toes to grip the board and rip the wave.
Check them out this weekend. They are amazing!
