Team Canada names 2014 Paralympic Games' sledge hockey team

According to the Hockey Canada website on Saturday, Hockey Canada announced the Canadian men's sledge hockey team who will participate at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi from March 7-16.

The team includes forwards Brad Bowden of Orton, Ontario; Billy Bridges of Summerside, Prince Edward Island; Ben Delaney of Ottawa, Ontario; Marc Dorion of Bourget, Ontario; Anthony Gale of Brampton, Ontario; Dominic Larocque of Quebec City, Quebec; Karl Ludwig of Brampton, Ontario; Tyler McGregor of Forest, Ontario; Kevin Rempel of Vineland, Ontario and Greg Westlake of Oakville, Ontario.

The defense is Steve Arsenault of Spruce Grove, Alberta.; Adam Dixon of Midland, Ontario; James Gemmell of Quesnel, British Columbia; Graeme Murray of Gravenhurst, Ontario and Derek Whitson of Chatham, Ontario.

Finally the goaltenders are Benoit St-Amand of St-Hubert, Quebec and Corbin Watson of Kingsville, Ontario.

On Sunday in a press release, Hockey Canada announced that Westlake would be team captain. Canada is entering the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games as the defending World Sledge Hockey champion, having defeated the United States 1-0 in the gold medal game last year in Goyang, South Korea.
