On July 9, 2014 The Junior Board of The Teak Fellowship (www.teakfellowship.org) presents "A Midsummer Night." This all important fundraiser will celebrate children's education under that stars. The fundraiser will be held at The North Cabanas at The Maritime Hotel, 88 Ninth Avenue, New York, NY. There will be an open bar, raffles and wonderful hors d'oeuvres.
Now The Teak Fellowship (www.teakfellowship.org) was founded in 1998 by Justine Stamen Arrillaga when she sought to create an organization that would help young people use education to overcome economic hardships and to also help them to cultivate their own personal assets. As a result, Teak's mission is set up to help talented New York students from low-income families gain admission to top high schools and colleges. To help them reach these goals, Teak provides these students with assistance in filling out their high school applications, with all types of mentoring and with all types of career guidance and opportunities.
Now the need for this type of guidance is great!
We all know that a strong academic foundation is essential for personal advancement and success. When one is limited academically which stems from economic disadvantages it can permanently affect the rest of one's life. Teak Fellowship knows that there are many bright and enthusiastic students living in low-income households that are routinely unchallenged and left with poor academic options. Teak was created to reach these deserving students and offers them access to that as of yet unchallenged educational opportunity.
Through Teak Fellowship and this doorway to educational access Teak has the capacity to impact families, neighborhoods, schools and workforces-a ripple effect that will continually wave through each individual's future and the world that he touches.
So if you understand the importance of an education and the impact that it can make not only on the individual's life but the life of his family as well as his community then click HERE and attend this important fundraiser.
