Teaching kids about business

Do you have a youngster who is a budding entrepreneur?

How can we help kids to learn more about the business world?

There is a unique series of workshops being offered to pre-teen and teens in the Boerne area, (just north of San Antonio). The Boerne Parks and Recreation is sponsoring this month long program to teach young teens about starting and growing a small business called "Kids in Business".

The location for the meetings will be at the Community Center located on Main Plaza in Boerne. There will be 3 meetings offered on the following dates and times: Tuesdays March 5th, March 19th and March 26th from 6pm to 8 pm.

The cost is $35 per person to cover fees and business permits and advertising.

Kids will participate in this learning experience with a hands-on approach to business by hearing from local business owners. The participants will discuss, plan and execute a business plan and develop a product, budget and marketing plan as well. They will identify their customers and how to grow a business.

Then they will join the local business expo to be held on Sat. April 6th from 10am to 1pm.
