Teachers, unions in Wisconsin setting bad examples for children

Teachers do far more than impart knowledge to our children.  They provide role models that children can emulate in their daily lives.

But what kind of examples are the striking teachers in Madison providing to the children there?

For starters, they abandoned the children when their puppet masters in the union called, leaving them to fend for themselves so they could take to the street in an organized effort to delegitimize and undermine the duly elected government of the sovereign state of Wisconsin.

By calling in "sick" they sent a message that it's okay to lie when the circumstances warrant.

To make matters worse, a video was released Saturday by the MacIver Institute showing teachers getting notes from "doctors" to excuse their absence:

On Saturday, a group of men and women in lab coats purporting to be doctors were handing out medical excuse notes, without examining the ‘patients.’

“I asked this doctor what he was doing and he told me they were handing out excuses to people who were feeling sick due to emotional, mental or financial distress,” said Christian Hartsock. “They never performed an exam–he asked me how I was feeling today and I said I’m from California and I’m not used to the cold, so he handed me a note.”

What kind of a message does this send to the students of Wisconsin?

Conservative columnist Michelle Malkin posted pictures from the rally Saturday that show the rhetoric and level of civility being employed by the protesters.  Naturally, the signs include images comparing Governor Scott Walker to Hitler, various foul and obscene language and the usual progressive hatred of Fox News.

The reader should be warned before visiting the link, however, as some of the images are quite graphic.  This is what passes for "civil rhetoric" by progressives these days.  The images can be seen here.

Adding to the discourse was Ed Schultz of MSNBC, the network of insane liberal hate

According to The Blaze, Schultz broadcasted his daily dose of hate (a.k.a "The Ed Show") from Madison, doing his part to aid the insurrection there.

He took a shot at conservative host Rush Limbaugh, saying Limbaugh should "wrap his ”fat ass” in the American flag," according to Scott Baker.

Certainly, that is an example all Wisconsin parents want for their children.

CNS News reports that Wisconsin Democratic officials are condemning the signs, and claim they do not represent the majority of the protesters, but pictures and videos coming out of the protest tell a different story.

The children of Wisconsin are not being well served by the lies and the antics of the teachers and their union bosses acting in accordance with the Democratic National Committee and the President's own Organizing for America.

Maybe parents in Wisconsin will see homeschooling in a whole new light after the events of the last week.  At least they know their children will have good role models who won't desert them on a whim.

    Good article!

So the proper message to send to children is that if you feel your rights are being violated that you should just roll over and take it? How can you say that with a straight face?

I just want to make sure I'm hearing you right. You think that insurrection, lies and fraud are okay?

That's cute, Joe. Especially since we've seen conservatives use the same tactic against Obama. It's a wonder more people haven't commented on this.
Oh, that's right. Probably because no one cares about conservative opinon.

Well, I don't think anyone actually believes or expects anyone, including the kids, to believe they are actually. sick. It seems like the teachers are modeling usage of first amendment rights, which is very appropriate. Sure, some people are going to be facetious, flippant, and sarcastic. It's not really fair to project that on everyone who protests.

If someone tried to take away the many rights as an employee that you enjoy living in this country, you'd be crying foul in the streets, as would many. If you think this is insurrection, you aren't a conservative. You're a fascist. Period.

What "rights" do average employees have? Seriously. The governor is asking public sector employees to help pitch in for their own retirement and health care to keep thousands more from being laid off. At least these people have jobs and health care. Thanks to Obamacare, many people do not. When these people go out and compare the governor to Hitler and Mubarak and when they try to undermine the duly elected government of a sovereign state, they are engaging in insurrection. You should look up the phrase. And you obviously do not know the definition of fascist, either. In reality, the unions who have taken to the streets act more like fascists.

I guess you're okay with all that, though, right?

    Another wonderful example from http://www.punditandpundette.com/

Update: Another lovely photo and observations from reader Mary Thompson — who e-mails: “My thirteen year-old had a large male scream “f*ck you!” several times and then say he was a teacher. This was because he was holding a Walker sign. I had a teacher hit me with her sign for taking a picture of it. I was not holding any signs or wearing anything that would identify my position.”

    Feel the classiness!

Tell me, Steven - who's the fascist?

    Your question Joe:
Do you think that insurrection lies and fraud are okay?

Ask your friends on the Extreme Right the same question. One can scan a Fox News broadcast and identify lie after lie after exaggeration and misrepresentation - truth never coming to the fore.

I've seen tea party rallies with violent signs the norm.

As usual, you on the right live according to your double standards.
